Easy Ways to Create Videos With No Experience
Fortunately, even if you’re not technically or artistically blessed there are super easy ways to create video, some of which don’t even require showing your face on-screen. Which, let’s face it not everyone is a fan of doing!
This post discusses an excellent desktop and mobile tool I use to create Social videos for business and personal use.
Animoto is one of the fastest and easiest ways you can make professional videos that’ll help grow your business and help put it in the spotlight.
You can create stunning videos in minutes with their online video editor, to increase sales with video ads and promotions, create marketing videos for social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and improve brand awareness with powerful professional videos.
Best of all there is no video editing experience required.
Here are just some of the benefits of adding video to your marketing:
The popularity of video communication is increasing rapidly, especially with social video-sharing platforms like YouTube, MetaCafe, Vimeo and others.
Making videos is not too difficult, but making quality videos takes some skill.
I’ve researched several video platforms like Promo and Vimeo etc, but what I like about Animoto is its simplicity and ease of operation, yet the output is so incredibly professional.
Animoto was created by a group of experts in the field of technology, television and film.
The technology they use is proprietary and comparable to the same sophisticated production techniques used in television and film.
The company is based in New York and has received several awards since they first launched in 2005 – They even partnered up with Getty stock Images stock library, to use for your Animoto video projects with no additional charge beyond your subscription.
How Does Animoto Work?
The process of making Animoto videos requires 3 main steps:
Select a video storyboard or start from scratch
Upload pictures from your computer or other social sites to Animoto;
Organize the pictures in a sequence you want them to appear in; and
Choose the music clip from your computer or Animoto’s library.
Pre-built storyboards are adjustable video templates, designed to make it easy to create and customize marketing videos. With storyboards for editorial content, ads and promotions, seasonal sales, how-to guides, and more, you can create eye-catching videos quickly; then easily adapt them to fit your business.
Add your photos, video clips, and text to customize your video
To begin, just drag and drop images and video clips into your video storyboard. Then customize your video by editing text, choosing songs from our library of licensed music, and changing fonts, transitions, colors, and more with ease.
Produce your video and share
Once you’ve finished editing your video, produce and share it to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more, all directly from Animoto.
Once you follow the above steps, Animoto processes the video which could take a few minutes depending on the number of pictures.
Once the video is processed, it can be uploaded to YouTube or embedded in blogs and other social sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc.
No two Animoto videos that are produced are the same and it is a unique way to share your pictures.
What Can I Use Animoto For?
Animoto has several templates that can be used depending on the type of video you want to produce. You can use Animoto for personal or business purposes and choose from their vast library of pre-designed templates. Talk Fusion also allows you to customize templates to personalize the “look and feel”.
In terms of personal uses, you can create unique video cards using personal pictures for special occasions like birthdays, Valentine’s day, weddings, etc. You can turn your family vacations and holidays pictures into cool music videos. You can use Animoto for business reasons like creating professional photography portfolios, using it for small business advertising, real estate agents can create it to present home they are selling, etc.
The above videos can be shared on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even uploaded to YouTube. I’ve used Animoto videos for both, personal and professional purposes.
What Does Animoto Cost?
Animoto has 3 plans and pricing options as shown below:
the LITE option is free which allows unlimited 30 second videos; get 10% off annual personal plans with my code PER10OFF
the PLUS option costs $5 per month or $30 per year; and
the PRO option costs $39 per month or $249 per year; get 10% off annual business plans with my code BUS10OFF.
For 2020 here is the updated pricing for Animoto:
This accurately reflect the new U.S. pricing model for Animoto’s video plans. Provided below is a breakout of both Annual and Monthly plans for Personal, Professional, and Business subscriptions:
• ANNUAL PLANS:
o Personal: $60 ($5/month)
o Professional: $396 ($33/month)
o Business: $588 ($49/month)
• MONTHLY PLANS:
o Personal: $9
o Professional: $65
o Business: $94
I’ve tried all three options and am currently using the PRO option.
If you use it just for personal purposes, you can use the LITE and PLUS options, however, if you use your videos for commercial purposes, you need to have the PRO membership.
The option you choose will depend on what you plan to do with the videos.
I would suggest using the free version to get a feel of the system.
Determine what you want to use Animoto videos for, for example, if you will be using it more for personal purposes and intend to make many videos in a year, you can go with the PLUS option.
However, if you are going to use it for professional and business purposes, I recommend getting the PRO option because it comes with the appropriate licensing.
Welcome to the world of video creation! Anyone can do it. It’s very fun and easy to do!
